It is the end of another school year and of course, there is Summer Homework.

For those of us new to Summer Homework, completing any homework tasks will earn points. The person with the most points at the beginning of Term 1 in 2026 will win a special reward.

This year, there will not be a separate Summer Homework course. All homework in the normal Homework course is eligible to be completed for points.

When does Summer Homework period start / end?

The Summer Homework period started on 08/12/25 and will run to 01/02/26.

How do I earn points?

Points can be earned by successful completion of any eligible homework tasks with a minimum score of 90%

What homework are eligible for points?

All homework is eligible to earn points but there are some restrictions:

• Anything named Test/Exam is only eligible for points the first time you score 90% or higher. This is because they give the same questions every time.
• The Times Tables Skills Test and Division Skills Test are eligible for 1 point each time you complete with a 100% score only.

Can I earn points on the same homework more than once?

Yes, you can earn points on the same homework as many times as you complete the homework with a minimum score of 90%.

However, anything named Test/Exam is only eligible for points the first time you score 90% or higher. This is because they give the same questions every time.

Are some homework worth more points than others?

Yes, some homework will give more points than other homework.

If you are in year 8 and complete all the year 5 homework, you will still receive points, but you will receive less points than a year 5 completing the same amount of year 5 homework.

It is recommended you complete homework from your year group or the year group for 2026 to maximise your point earning potential.

How do I know which homework is worth more points?

There is no indicator for how many points each homework is worth. As long as you complete the homework suitable for your year level, you will receive the full amount of points. If you complete homework below your year level, you will receive fewer points for those homework.

This also means completing homework above your year level will give you more points.

While tests and exams can only award points once, they are also worth slightly more points than other homework.

The only known number of points received is for the Times Tables Skills Test and Division Skills Test. Both give 1 point for each completion with 100% score.

Why are my Egg Points not updating?

The Summer Homework points is separate from the Egg Points. You can still earn Egg Points following the Egg Point rules.

Can I earn Egg Points as well?

You can also earn points for both the Egg Shop and for the Summer Homework at the same time!

If you meet the requirements for both Egg Points and Summer Homework, you can earn points twice for the completion.

e.g. You score 95% in the percentages word problem. This meets the requirement to earn points for Summer Homework and for Egg Points.

Where can I see how many points I have?

The Summer Homework Leaderboard is hidden, and no one has access to it.

If you want to make sure you have the most points, the only way to be certain is by completing more homework.

At the end of the Summer Homework period, a separate post with the points and rankings will be released.

What are the prizes for the Summer Homework?

The prize is a mystery. The value of the prize increases with the number of points earned by the winner.

Are there any punishments for not doing the Summer Homework?

NEW: The person with the LOWEST score at the end of the Summer Homework period will receive a punishment.

The punishment: You will be recorded on video, to make a confession that you did not complete a satisfactory amount of Summer Homework. You will need to explain why this happened and a reflection of what you can do better. This video will be shared with everyone else (not through the internet, only by showing on my phone) and will then be deleted once everyone has been shown. This is the Video of Shame.
